Our Community
Grovehurst is a friendly community of over 100 homes with a nice mix of home styles, and most homes feature brick elevations.
The Grovehurst neighborhood is located only a few miles east of Interstate 95. in Bowie, Maryland (Prince George’s County) on the corner of Church Road and Central Avenue (MD 214), midway between Annapolis, Maryland and the District of Columbia (D.C.) and just mere minutes from Six Flags (Great America).
The area of Bowie, Maryland is a dynamic community. It is a great place to live and to raise a family. Bowie is proud of its colonial heritage and is excited about its future. Bowie has grown from a small agricultural and railroad town to one of the largest and fastest growing cities in Maryland.
As of 2023, the City of Bowie is 20 square miles and approximately 56,500 residents. Bowie has over 1,100 acres set aside as parks or open space, including 22.5 miles of trails and 75 ballfields. Bowie has 3 community centers, an ice arena, a playhouse and five museums. In the last few years a large, state-of-the-art senior center and municipal gymnasium have been added.
Grovehurst is close to area shopping centers, award winning public and private schools, major hospitals, and minutes away from downtown Washington, DC, Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland, and the Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport,.

The Grovehurst Homeowners Association is a not-for-profit organization formed to represent the interests of the residents of the Grovehurst Community in Bowie, Maryland.

Implementation
Delivering timely information to Grovehurst residents and collecting input on issues that impact us all. Our goals are:

- To protect the property values of the Grovehurst Homeowners Association
- To serve as a focal point for maintenance and the upkeep of the common areas and property of the community
- To encourage and promote community pride in our neighborhood by providing a forum for neighborhood activity.
- To provide the neighborhood with an effective communication link with local government officials and other influential groups.
- To encourage and promote the involvement of membership participation in the decision making process that directs the neighborhood association’s actions.
